Big River RCMP are searching for the suspect in an assault that took place last Friday.

At 2:45 p.m., Big River RCMP received a report of an assault in Debden.

Investigation determined an elderly man was walking back to his parked vehicle when he observed the suspect going through it. The victim confronted the suspect, who then assaulted the victim before fleeing in a 2010s dark-coloured GMC model truck. The victim reported minor injuries.

RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and finding the suspect, who is described as a man in his 20s or 30s, and approximately 5’8”. He was wearing a white shirt and a backwards baseball cap at the time of the assault.
