There was a head-on collision between an SUV and a semi near Langenburg on Wednesday evening—not far from the Manitoba border.

It happened around 6:30pm  on the Yellowhead highway.

The 41-year-old SUV driver, a woman from British Columbia,, was killed. The semi driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
