A 38-year-old man faces a variety of assault and weapons charges following an incident on Wednesday evening in Prince Albert.

PA Police were called to a business in the 800 block of 15th street East around 6:20pm after witnesses reported an assault. The suspect was in the custody of security staff when officers arrived. It’s believed the man was asked to leave the business and that is when the assault occurred.

A knife and an improvised firearm were seized in the first search.  A subsequent search produced a second knife.

The man is charged with assault, possession of a weapon, concealing a weapon, and breaching court ordered conditions.
