The Saskatoon Police Service says a 13-year-old boy was arrested yesterday after bear spray was discharged inside the Midtown Plaza.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m. Thursday police were called to the mall after a suspect deployed the bear spray inside the food court.
When they arrived, officers encountered a teen experiencing the direct effects of bear spray and then they determined the male might be in possession of the bear spray. An SPS news release says it was located on his person with the canister in his pocket.
As a result, the 13-year-old Saskatoon male was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
