La Ronge RCMP say Wayne Mcleod has been arrested. RCMP had been asking the public to report sightings of McLeod.  RCMP located and arrested him at an apartment in La Ronge on Wednesday. They also located and seized a sawed-off firearm at the apartment.

La Ronge RCMP had issued a warrant for the arrest of Mcleod in connection to a report of a robbery on Studer Street in La Ronge on November 23rd. Investigation determined a man stole a vehicle from a group of individuals at gunpoint. No one was hurt and the vehicle was recovered.

McLeod is now facing numerous weapons related charges and is in court in La Ronge Thursday. Officers also arrested two individuals in the apartment, a youth male and an adult female, on outstanding warrants.

Officers from Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) and La Ronge Crime Reduction Team (CRT) assisted with this investigation.
