The Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval opens for the season today.
The Oval on Dudley Street in the Gordon Howe Complex is an outdoor, oval-shaped rink for all skating levels.
The City of Saskatoon says there is a warm-up building with change rooms, public washrooms, and an area to lace up the skates in comfort.
Speed skates aren’t required.
The Oval was named after the first coach of the Saskatoon Lions Speed Skating Club.
The public skating hours are with this story online.
