A woman and a man face a total of 13 weapons-related charges after a firearms investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit.
The charges include possession of dangerous weapon, carry concealed weapon, careless storage of firearm, prohibited possession of firearm, possession of prohibited firearm and ammunition and unauthorized possession of firearm. An S-P-S news release adds that just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, along with help from the Tactical Support Unit, arrested a 41-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman in the 100 block of Avenue Q South. A subsequent search warrant at a residence in that area resulted in the seizure of two prohibited firearms and several other weapons, including bear spray and knives (pictured).
