The report on losses of public money within Saskatchewan health organizations has been tabled with the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and it shows a $3,000 loss.
The Government of Saskatchewan says $3,000 worth of various medical supplies went missing at a Saskatchewan Health Authority site in Wakaw. It is presumed they were stolen.
The SHA has implemented tighter controls in the affected areas, including secured supply room with a lock and sign-out sheet, reduced number of supplies kept in treatment and clinic rooms, and increased manager presence during extended hours. It’s believed the thefts took place between March and August 2024.
