You might remember hearing about the ParticipACTION Community Challenge last summer, an event that encouraged communities across Canada to get active.
Well, 1,200 towns and cities took part in the challenge, and finishing leaps and bounds ahead of the rest was Prince Albert.
As a result, Prince Albert has been dubbed Saskatchewan’s Most Active Community for 2024 and also received $15,000.
With the money, the City is offering a Sport and Physical Activity Inclusion Grant to non-profit community groups that provide equity-denied populations with sport opportunities.
