The body of a Saskatchewan man who had been reported missing has been found in a rural area north of Airdrie.
Calgary Police report in a Facebook post that he has been preliminarily identified as Sheldon Wolf from Carrot River.
He was reported missing in late afternoon on Monday and had last been seen on Sunday evening leaving the Sandman Hotel in Calgary.
Wolf’s body was found mid-afternoon on Tuesday.
Staff Sgt. Martin Schiavetta says Calgary Police are determined to get to the bottom of what happened. “No visitor should ever have to come to our city and be concerned about their safety.”
At this time, police believe he willingly met with individuals he had no previous relationship with before arriving in Calgary.
An autopsy will be conducted on Friday.
