The Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canadian Women’s Curling Championship, continues today and runs through Sunday, February 23rd, at Thunder Bay, Ontario. A total of 18 teams are taking part, split into two pools of nine teams each for preliminary round-robin play. The top three teams from both pools advance to the playoffs. Saskatchewan is represented by the Nancy Martin foursome from the Saskatoon-Nutana curling club. They have 2 wins, 0 losses…tied for 1st place in Pool A. On their schedule today…
2 p.m. – Saskatchewan vs B-C
The 2025 Canadian Under-18 Girls and Boys Curling Championships start today at Saskatoon’s Nutana Curling Club and run through Saturday, February 22nd. There are 42 teams taking part – 21 in each gender division, split into three pools of seven teams each for round-robin preliminary play before 12 teams, four from each pool, advance to single knock-out playoffs. There are four teams from Saskatchewan taking part. Two girls teams are skipped by Kaylee Hogeboom of Moose Jaw and Renee Wood of Saskatoon-Sutherland. The two boys teams are skipped by Brandon Weiss of Esterhazy and Dayne Heisler of Moose Jaw. Draws go at 8:30 a.m., 12:30, 4:30 and 8:30 p.m.
