In this day and age, you are always going to have spam getting through.
That from Greg Jacobs with SaskTel after customers took to social media platforms to question why they were seeing so much more spam in their SaskTel email accounts.
He says they noticed an uptick in the amount of email spam in December and points out that is also the time of year lots of businesses send out information about sales but the complaints about spam have continued into January and SaskTel is actively adjusting their spam filters to deal with it.
He suggests that the account holder needs to know what to look for and could take advantage of controls that can be put on an email in-box that can help prevent spam from getting through.
That would include setting your filter preferences to aggressive. You can also manage your trusted sender list and you can add messages to the spam senders list which helps educate the system that emails from this email address are spam.
