Now that the calendar has flipped to March and this is the first weekday of the third month of 2025, the Saskatchewan Roughriders decided to remind their fans they’re still grinding in preparation for the next season.
The Green and White announced that former N-F-L draft pick Mark Webb has indicated a commitment to attend Riders’ training camp in May. The six-foot-one, 207-pound product of Philadelphia was selected in the seventh round of the 2021 N-F-L Draft by the L-A Chargers. He played seven games over three seasons with the team, recording three defensive tackles. The 26-year-old played collegiately at the University of Georgia. RIDERS ADD GEORGIA DB MARK WEBB
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive back Mark Webb.
Webb (6’1-207) was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round, 241st overall, of the 2021 NFL Draft. He went on to spend three seasons with the Chargers, appearing in seven games and earning three defensive tackles.
Collegiately, the 26-year-old played 49 games over four seasons at Georgia (2017-20), tallying 82 tackles, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, nine pass deflections and one interception as a Bulldog. Webb was invited to the 2020 Senior Bowl and earned five tackles in the match. Initially recruited as a receiver, the Philadelphia native switched to the defensive side of the ball as a true freshman and immediately took the field on both defence and special teams.
