Walking into Gardenscape at Prairieland, you will be greeted with the bright colours and scents of thousands of flowers in full bloom from bulbs that were planted last fall. Prairieland’s Manager of Signature Events, Susan Kuzma, says more garden displays have been added this year. She says, “We are really excited with the number of designers who have stepped up to create these beautiful areas that you can step into in most cases, and just kind of enjoy being a part of what spring has to offer us in just a few more weeks.”
Gardenscape begins tomorrow (Fri) and runs through Sunday. It includes everything about gardening and outdoor living, from plants to hot tubs and barbecues to garden furniture and outdoor design options. There are also presentations from experts including how to prune trees and shrubs, celebrating backyard birds, and growing more wildflowers in Saskatchewan. You can have bite to eat at one of the food vendors, or rest at one of the gardens with seating.
Gardenscape ends Sunday with a plant sale and auction at 6 p.m. Kuzma says at the cash and carry table you can buy pots of bulbs, ” and then we have a live auction because we will auction off all those trees and shrubs and plant material that we bring in specifically for the show, so it’s a great opportunity to get started on your spring garden items.” Click here for more information.
