The Saskatoon Police Service says the Serious Assault Unit is investigating an incident in which a man was stabbed, tasered and sprayed with bear spray.

Around 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening, officers responded to a call from the 1200 block of 22nd Street West where they found the victim suffering from a stab wound.

He told police a group of men and women had assaulted him at Avenue P and 22nd Street with a knife, bear spray and a taser.

He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SPS at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
