The City of Prince Albert has issued a fire ban for all areas north of the North Saskatchewan River within the city limits.
That is in effect now. A news release from the City of Prince Albert adds that, during the fire ban, no open fires are permitted in Little Red River Park, Hazeldell, Nordale plus all properties east of Little Red River Park to the city limits at the Pulp Haul Road. However, for cooking and heating purposes, self-contained heating devices, gas barbecues, propane fire pits plus Charcoal briquettes used in an approved fire pit are allowed. The fire ban for the city’s northern area will remain in effect until further notice and does not affect recreational use of approved fire pits in designated areas south of the river, such as Kinsmen Park.
