Two friends – James Wawryk and Joel Hedlin – won $1 million on LOTTO MAX on the April 25 draw.

Both from Saskatoon, they said they often by tickets together. Wawryk says he’s the one who scanned the ticket, he says probably ten times on the Lotto Spot app, and then to share the news he sent a text asking Hedlin to stop by telling his buddy that he was sick and dehydrated.

Hedlin said he went to drop off some Gatorade and check on Warwyk which is when Warwyk scanned the ticket and unveiled the $1 million win.

The winning LOTTO MAX was purchased from Ironwells Gas Bar in Lloydminster.
