Saskatoon Youth Soccer is hosting the Green Drop-Mini Festival of Soccer, continuing today and running through tomorrow at the Saskatoon Sports Centre. A total of 226 teams, with an estimated 22-hundred-and-60 players – ranging in age from four to eight years old – will play a total of 339 games over the weekend. There will be 86 Under-9 teams, 112 Under-7 teams and 28 Under-5 teams taking part – without standings, game sheets or referees. Every player receives a gold medal. There’s free admission for all spectators with games today running from 9:15 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
