Five people in Alberta have been arrested following a stolen vehicle incident in Mannville.

On Wednesday morning around 6:30, Vermillion RCMP responded to a report of a stolen truck in nearby Mannville.

A traffic stop was attempted on Highway 16, although the vehicle didn’t come to a stop. Police didn’t continue to follow the vehicle due to safety concerns.

Police then deployed a tire deflation device which was successful. The vehicle came to a stop near the Josephburg area after turning off Highway 16 west.

The five people between the ages of 26 and 41 face a number of charges including theft of a truck and flight from police.
