A dangerous person alert has been issued in Saskatchewan by the RCMP.

The suspect is 28-year-old Elijah Albert believed to be armed with a rifle on Muskowekwan First Nation. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans, dark backpack heading into the bush around Muskowekwan. He may be on foot or driving a quad.

The Dangerous Person Alert is for the First Nation and surrounding area.

RCMP advise anyone in the area to seek immediate shelter and shelter in place. Do not leave a secure location, lock windows and doors. Do not pick up hitchhikers and report emergencies to 911.

Muskowekwan is located approximately 145 kilometres northeast of Regina.
