A 38-year-old woman and a young male from Lloydminster have both been arrested following an assault that occurred on Saturday.

Lloydminster RCMP responded to the east end of Lloydminster to find a woman who had sustained significant injuries. She was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

As a result of the investigation, Lloydminster RCMP arrested Yolanda Scarlett, who has been charged with aggravated assault, and a male youth, who has been arrested and charged with Assault causing bodily harm, and Overcoming resistance by choking and Uttering threats.

Scarlett was released on conditions, to appear before the Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on August 18, while the youth was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court.
