A man was arrested Wednesday morning following an alleged vehicle theft which the driver was dragged for an undisclosed distance.
Saskatoon Police were called to Avenue “C “North and 39th Street West around 7:30am. Officers learned the driver of the vehicle had attempted to stop it from being stolen. In the process, several parked vehicles were hit before the suspect struck another vehicle n the 1700 block of Avenue “G” North and then fled on foot. The suspect was located in the 1200 block of Avenue “J” North a short time later and, following a brief struggle, was subsequently arrested.
The 22-year-old man from Meadow Lake is charged with robbery, operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner, and mischief under $5,000.
