A man who shot a Saskatchewan RCMP officer which led to a dangerous person alert being issued in the morning on July 24, 2025, for the Muskowekwan First Nation area has been charged with attempted murder. During investigation a firearm and ammunition were recovered. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Provincial General Investigation Section continues to investigate the firearm incident and have charged 28-year-old Elijah Albert of Muskowekwan First Nation with: one count of attempted murder with a firearm, one count of discharging a firearm with intent, one count of uttering threats, and one count of pointing a firearm.
Elijah Albert is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on July 30, 2025
