Two male suspects involved in a robbery and assault on July 7 on the Red Pheasant Cree Nation have been apprehended in separate arrests.
A Saskatchewan RCMP news release said that on Thursday, 22-year-old Lorenz Paskimin appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court after being arrested on July 10 by Battlefords RCMP in the Battlefords area. Meanwhile, 25-year-old Silas Soosay was arrested by Alberta RCMP on July 24 in Maskwacis during a separate investigation. His Saskatchewan charges will be dealt with at a later date. Both face charges from the July 7 incident of robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and fail to comply with release order.
