Day 1, Thursday, of the 140th annual Saskatoon Ex concluded with the first-ever drone and fireworks show in the history of the city’s summer fair.
A total of 23,811 people made their way onto the grounds at Prairieland Park. Some of those were able to take advantage of 50 per cent off admission for the first one hour and 40 minutes that the gates were opened for on Thursday. A special opening ceremony featured a celebratory cake and historical displays regarding the exhibition’s past. The Saskatoon Ex runs through August 7.
