Two recreational facilities received a $500,000 donation from the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert. The newly completed Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre received $450,000 and the Kinsmen Ski and Snowboard Centre in Little Red River Park received $100,000.
To recognize the generous support to the facility, the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert’s name will be displayed inside the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre. The wave pool will be renamed the “Kinsmen Wave Pool,” and the door to Dressing Room #1 in the twin arenas will be named “Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert.”
The Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre is now open in the Yard District and features a modern aquatics facility including a lap pool, leisure pool, and wave pool along with two NHL-sized ice surfaces.
The Kinsmen Ski and Snowboard Centre will use the $100,000 donation to replace the lift, ensuring a safer, more accessible experience for winter sports enthusiasts.
