Moose Jaw resident was sent to hospital yesterday (Tues) after being tased by police officers.

At 11:50 p.m., the Moose Jaw Police Service were called to a home on the 600 block of Caribou Street West for the report of an individual threatening to harm themself.

At the scene, officers learned that they had locked themself in a room with a knife.

Police entered the room to find that the person had already began harming themself. They then went after the officers with the knife.

The person was tased before any harm was done, and the individual was taken to hospital by EMS. The investigation continues.
