Wynyard RCMP say there could be more victims after they arrested and charged 57 year old Gerard Loehr from Ottawa, Ontario in a historic sexual assault case.

RCMP say at the time of the alleged incidents, Loehr was a teacher in Wynyard and Foam Lake schools and may have substituted at other schools in the area as well. He was most recently a music teacher in Ottawa and left Saskatchewan in 1996.

He is in Wadena Provincial Court today and is charged with five counts of sexual assault as well as six counts of sexual interference relating to incidents that occurred between 1990 and 1996.

Wynyard RCMP say a woman contacted their office in February 2019 to report a historic sexual assault. Since that initial report, five other people have provided information to police in Saskatchewan involving the same accused.
