A two-day traffic enforcement initiative conducted in Prince Albert led to 372 tickets and 248 warnings being handed out.
On August 21st and 22nd, PA’s Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan Unit took a focus on impaired driving, distracted driving, seat-belt use, speeding, unlicensed driving, vehicle registrations checks, and vehicle equipment regulations.
The PA Police Service reports that there was a total of 11 roadside suspensions, five testing positive for THC, two testing positive for cocaine, two testing positive for THC and cocaine and two roadside suspensions for alcohol. On top of this, a total of 20 vehicles were impounded during the blitz.
Three criminal code warrants were executed, and one person faces new criminal charges, and two incidents where a vehicle evaded police at a check stop.
