The Saskatoon Police Service is reminding residents of the consequences of disobeying traffic laws.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, the SPS addressed a dashcam video of a sportscar splitting traffic on Circle Drive that was posted to social media by a concerned motorist earlier this month.
It goes on to say that an officer had attempted to stop the vehicle when it took off, driving erratically through rush hour traffic.
However, the vehicles license plate number was able to be obtained, and the car’s owner received a personal home visit by the SPS where he was handed five tickets that totaled over $1,000 in fines and a mandatory court date. His charges include failure to stop for an officer, speeding, stunting, passing on the right, and driving without reasonable consideration for others.
