A Saskatoon man was sent to hospital with a stab wound early Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. police were called to the 1500 block of 22nd Street West for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived to find the male, who was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of what was believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.
Officers say the learned the victim had been walking in the area when he was approached by an unknown man who punched him before stabbing him and attempted to steal his property.
The suspect then ran away on foot.
Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
