The self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada,” who had been living in a decommissioned Richmound school for two years prior to her arrest on Wednesday, made her first court appearance this (Fri) morning in Swift Current.
Romana Didulo, who was re-arrested yesterday (Thurs) appeared before Judge Alan Jacobson.
Reports from Swift Current says the 50-year-old consistently interrupted the judge, demanded her release, and said she “would only consent to a natural law trial.”
Jacobson explained the charges to Didulo, which were: one count, failing to comply with the undertaking condition and one count, intimidation of a justice system participant.
Didulo refused a lawyer and was remanded following her appearance.
The Crown has requested an adjournment until Monday at 9:30 a.m. for a bail hearing.
