Retail sales in Saskatchewan in December were up two per cent from the month before. That was the largest increase of all the provinces. Nationally, sales were flat over the same time period. Compared to December of 2018, sales in Saskatchewan in the same month last year were 1.7 per cent higher. Four provinces did better on that comparison. Nationally, sales were up 2.4 per cent. Total sales in Saskatchewan in December rang in at about $1.6 billion. For the entire year, sales in Canada were up 1.6 per cent. In Saskatchewan they were down for the 2nd consecutive year. Our numbers were off by 0.5 per cent.
