According to the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses’ 2025 member survey, 53.4 per cent of the province’s nurses are contemplating a career switch.
The April 2025 survey asked participants “In the last 12 months, have you given serious consideration to leaving the nursing profession
for another line of work?”
The NDP are blaming the provincial government for the result, calling the current healthcare system “ineffective, uncoordinated, and run by a government who won’t listen to the people on the frontlines,”
The Opposition is calling for more frontline services and less bureaucracy. The full survey can be viewed here.
