Around 10 p.m. Saturday night Saskatoon police responded to a report of a break and enter by an armed suspect. This was at a home in the 400 block of Avenue S South.
Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim who said a woman had entered her home and threatened her with a firearm. The 51-year-old woman escaped from the woman threatening her by jumping out the window. And police say the suspect is known to the victim.
A suspect vehicle was identified which officers located and stopped soon after. The suspect was located inside the vehicle along with a machete. No firearm was found.
The 30-year-old female accused is facing charges of Break and Enter with Intent, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and breach of court conditions.
Two men injured during break in
The Saskatoon Police Service says two men, ages 34 and 35, were taken to hospital after being injured during a break in.
Around 6:00 a.m. Sunday police responded to the 100 block of Avenue S South where three men told officers that two unknown males entered the home armed with a knife, a baton and a firearm, assaulted two of the men present and stole items from another, before fleeing.
The two men taken to hospital were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Weekend stabbing sends woman to hospital
Around 7 p.m. Friday the Saskatoon Police Service received a report of an injured woman in the 1600 block 20th Street West.
Arriving officers located the scene where the assault took place, on a sidewalk nearby. They found out the 33-year-old victim already received treatment for multiple stab wounds at St. Paul’s Hospital. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries.
