Beginning today, the Saskatoon Fire Department is hosting a series of open houses leading up to Fire Prevention Week.
The first event goes Wednesday at Fire Station No. 8 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m.
The second is at Fire Station No.1 on October 1st, and the third runs at the Saskatoon Airport Fire Department Headquarters on October 8th.
This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,”, which will highlight the importance of understanding and safely using battery-powered devices.
Each open house will include fire engine tours, presentations by the Fire Prevention team, treats, fire swag and the chance to meet SFD members from across the department. All ages are welcome.
