One man has been arrested after Saskatoon Police Service responded to a report of a person armed with a weapon.
The call came in at 4:15 p.m. Thursday from an apartment building in the 23-hundred block fo 17th Street West. It was reported that a man had bear sprayed a vehicle with multiple people inside before shattering an apartment unit’s window with a machete and climbing inside.
Officers arrived and surrounded the building and after a short negotiation with the suspect, they say he surrendered to police and was taken into custody without further incident.
A 31-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with mischief under $5000, break and enter with intent to commit an offence, possession of a weapon for an offence, assault, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
