Hyundai Canada has donated $100,000 to Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation through its Hope on Wheels Campaign.
Dr. Roona Sinha at JPCH says the full donation will be going toward supporting pediatric cancer care programs at the hospital.
“The funds will do important things like support families through this journey, making sure like we’re able to have the important infection control precautions, be able to give them the psychosocial support that they need, and the privacy they need at various times.”
The event also featured Hyundai’s flagship Handprint Ceremony, where children impacted by cancer diagnoses placed their painted handprint on a white Hyundai vehicle, symbolizing the courage, unity, and the ongoing fight to end childhood cancer.
Dealer Principal of Saskatoon north and south Hyundai Mark Loeppky says this isn’t the only way they’re supporting pediatric cancer care in Canada.
“As of January 1st, of this year, a portion of every new Hyundai sold supports this great cause, so customers can feel really great knowing their purchase is helping kids across our great country.”
JPCHF CEO Troy Davies says he knew from the very first meeting with Hyundai how important it was for the company to give this gift, and he is grateful that JPCHF was chosen to benefit from Hyundai’s generosity.
