Regina Police are looking for information from the public that may assist in a weapons offence investigation.

Just before 6 Saturday night, officers responded to Pasqua Hospital for a male who showed up to the emergency room with a gunshot wound.

Police say it’s believed that the victim was in the 1200 block of Rae Street when he was approached by a group of males, one of which had a firearm.

The victim then fled while shots were fired, one of which struck him. The victim’s injuries are described as non-life threatening.

The suspects were last seen running down an alley on Rae Street.

Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RPS or Crime Stoppers.
