The Saskatoon Police Service (S-P-S) is in the throes of investigating a pair of robberies from consecutive days over this past weekend.
On Saturday morning, at about 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a call in the 1500 block of Avenue H North with the report saying a robbery had just occurred. Police learned upon arrival that a woman had been sitting in her vehicle in her driveway when an unknown man approached and forcibly removed her from the driver’s seat. The suspect reversed the vehicle out of the driveway, struck a parked vehicle and sped off. He has not been located. The female victim was not physically injured from the incident.
Then, on Sunday evening, shortly after 7 p.m., a youth was robbed in an alley behind the 800 block of 22nd Street West. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned the 16-year-old victim was approached by two unknown males who flashed a handgun and robbed him of his bicycle, clothing and cash before fleeing the area.
In both incidents, the S-P-S continues to investigate.
