On this the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Wanuskewin Heritage Park is open with some special programming. The grand entry is at 10 a.m. and welcome remarks are at 10:30 a.m. while drop in programming like beading and bannock bakes take place between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. with a Round Dance at 3 p.m.
The final Every Child Matters – In Honour of Reconciliation Pow Wow is at noon today at SaskTel Centre
Multiple roads have closures this morning until 10:30 a.m. for the RunConciliation event. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the event area. Drivers are reminded to drive carefully and watch for participants. The roads impacted include Spadina Crescent between 2nd and 3rd avenues and the Traffic Bridge.
City Hall is closed today however paid parking and parking time limits remain in effect.
Saskatoon Public Schools lowered its flags in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The flags will remain at half-mast until Wednesday morning.
