It’s the news many Prairie-dwellers have been waiting for; Peavy Mart is planning for its return to Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The farm goods retailer closed all its stores earlier this year due to financial uncertainty, but they must have run into some luck, as the company is now planning to open seven to 12 shops in Alberta as early as late fall, with Saskatchewan stores soon to follow.
The mass closure several months ago left residents in and around Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, North Battleford, Humboldt, Kindersley, Yorkton, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Assiniboia, Weyburn, Estevan and Lloydminster without their hub for all things farm goods and gear.
