The inevitable end of the local golf season is nearly at hand.
To the north, Waskesiu’s pristine layout is done for 2025 and Cooke Municipal in Prince Albert is mere days away from laying down tarps on the greens for the winter. Here in Saskatoon, the city of Saskatoon courses – Wildwood, Silverwood and Holiday Park will close down in phases. Monday will be the last day for play on Holiday Park’s Executive Nine and the back nine at Silverwood. Sunday the 19th will be closing day for Silverwood’s front nine, Wildwood’s back nine and nine holes of Holiday Park’s championship layout. Then, on the 26th – Silverwood’s driving range, Wildwood’s front nine plus the remaining nine holes of Holiday Park’s championship course and driving range will close for the season. All of those dates are weather dependent, of course.
