A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged last week following the conclusion of a Saskatoon Police Service weapons investigation.
According to an S-P-S news release, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Avenue M South, just before 2 a.m. on October 9. The suspect was located and arrested, plus police were able to seize a loaded, prohibited firearm with a 30-round magazine. The man has been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, careless storage of a prohibited firearm and possession of a loaded, prohibited firearm.
